From the Dawn of Creation - An Audience with Alan McGee

Thursday 24th July, The Georgian Theatre, Stockton on Tees 6pm – 8pm
Alan McGee co-founded Creation Records and over the next sixteen years he signed some of the most influential acts of the day (Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream and My Bloody Valentine). In the early 1990’s Alan made his most influential signing – Oasis. His story is an inspiration to anyone wishing to set up a music company. This event is free.

As part of this event, Alan has invited Kathryn Williams (who he once managed) and The Grants (a new group from Liverpool) to appear at the Georgian Theatre, later that evening.

Stockton Riverside Fringe Festival

The 2008 Stockton Riverside Fringe Festival will take place from Wednesday 30th July to Sunday 3rd August. Headliners for the main stage include The Happy Mondays, Super Furry Animals and Paul Heaton (The Housemartins, Beautiful South).
There is also entertainment at The Loosely Acoustic Stage, the Georgian Theatre Stage (from Wed 30th July) and three days of laughs at the Fringe Comedy Tent.

Tees Music Alliance is proud to be the organiser of the Stockton Riverside Fringe Festival.  Celebrating its 18th year in 2008, the Fringe has grown from being a single day, local band only event in the back room of  pub - into one which sees world renowned artists headlining a full supporting bill of north-east based artists - playing in a 10,000 capacity arena.

Ouseburn / Narc Fest

The Ouseburn Festival is an annual community entertainment event held across the Ouseburn Valley, Newcastle.
NARC. Magazine is proud to be hosting the musical side of the festival taking place this year on Saturday 19th July. The festival will encompass seven venues across the region, with an eclectic mixture of music, art, visuals and poetry and all events are free to attend.
